When I began my blog back in January, I wasn't exactly sure which direction I wanted to steer it. I could see myself writing about adulthood, graduation and my adventures. I didn't see it coming when I started writing about personal topics and activism. And I'm thankful that this blog is encouraging me to grow as a writer.
Lately, I've been writing about my musical interests and it feels like some of my best work yet. I'm reaching a new audience and people are taking notice. So, I felt this was the perfect opportunity to take my blog to a new level. As part of my 101 in 1001 challenge, I made it a goal of mine to launch a new blog post series. So, I welcome you to the inaugural post of Musical Commotion, a subsection of my blog that will delve into the many realms of my musical interests and adventures.
The name for this series is spot on for the way I talk about music. I love discussing any and everything that has to do with music. Hearing new opinions and ideas makes me ever curious, I want to soak up as much as I can. At the same time, I can get pretty passionate about my favorite artists, and sometimes this causes a bit of a commotion (I've caused my fair share of loud, long, and heated debates). My goal with this series is to spark your curiosity and open you up to new areas of music you may not have paid attention to before. I have a diverse musical taste, and I have a feeling it's only going to keep expanding. Let's get ready to dance!
